Services

What we do for insurance & PIs.

Forensic facts that hold up in coverage disputes, examinations under oath, civil suits and criminal referrals.

Vehicle telematics & EDR forensics

Crash Data Recorder extraction and telematics device parsing. Connected-vehicle log analysis for accident reconstruction support.

Social-media authenticity

Verify whether claimant social-media posts are authentic, when they were posted and whether they've been edited. Cross-reference with claim timeline for inconsistencies.

Image & video authentication

Detect editing, splicing, deepfakes. Source-camera identification. Metadata forensics. Critical for staged-loss and fraudulent damage claims.

Phone & computer forensics

Standard digital forensics for first-party (insured) and third-party (claimant) device investigation under examination-under-oath authority.

Subrogation forensics

Tracking the actual cause of loss across digital evidence — vendor email reconstruction, supply-chain audit logs, contractor device imaging.

Cyber insurance claim forensics

Independent forensic exam for cyber-policy claim validation. Was the incident actually a cyber event? Was it covered? What's the actual loss?

Insurance FAQ

Questions specific to this audience.

Are your findings admissible at examinations under oath?

Yes — and at coverage trials, civil suits and criminal referrals. Every report is structured for the highest evidentiary bar that may apply to the matter. full chain of custody, reproducibility appendix.

Can you handle cross-border US claims?

Yes. Our examiners are also qualified in NY, CA and US federal courts. Cross-border matters with parallel Canadian and US tracks are routinely handled by the same examiner team for consistency.

Do you work with SIU directly, or do we need to route through counsel?

Either. SIU direct engagement is standard for fraud investigations. Counsel routing is used for matters with anticipated litigation or where privilege protection is needed. We can structure the engagement to match your workflow.

How quickly can you turn around an EDR / vehicle forensics matter?

Bring the vehicle to our Toronto facility or we can travel for on-site acquisition. Timeline scoped at engagement and shared up front.

Are you on our preferred-vendor list?

We're on most major Canadian carrier preferred-vendor lists, several US carrier lists and the assignment platforms (Mitchell, CCC, Audatex). If we're not on yours, vendor onboarding takes 2-4 weeks — we keep the standard documentation (W-9 / Canadian equivalent, COI, MSA template) ready.

Do you carry insurance for our engagements?

Yes. $5M professional liability + cyber per occurrence. Named-additional-insured available where required. Certificate on request.
